Martha (Maggie) Hasslacher comes to Gateway House of Peace with many years business and non-profit experience. Her mother passed peacefully at home under Hospice care, and she saw first-hand the difference Hospice makes in people’s lives, not just to the one passing, but to the entire family.

She began working in the nonprofit world 20 years ago, has an MBA and graduate certificate in nonprofit management. She desires to make a difference in the lives of people by supporting the organizations that serve them.

She knows that whether in a for-profit or not-for-profit environment, recognizing and meeting needs is essential to longevity and prosperity of a business. Meeting a need in the community is exactly what Gateway House does, and fundraising to support those efforts is one of the things she will focus on.

She is married, enjoys hiking with her husband, and nieces and nephews. When she isn’t working, hiking or volunteering, she likes to bead, and read – sometimes at the same time!
